Look at Sgt Pepper:
PID people tend to focus on the lefty-bass made of flowers. Equally prominent yet mostly ignored is the star made of flowers. How blatant a symbol is a Starr?
Pepper is the album that introduced us to the apple. Old news to all of us is the fact that ringo is Japanese for apple. Every record The Beatles released after Pepper was on Apple Records. "Ringo Records." If you slice open an apple the core contains a star in a circle, a ring-o star.
Ringo wears the sergeant stripes on Pepper, ergo Sgt. Pepper's lonely heart is Ringo's heart. A ringo's heart is an apple core. Cor is latin for heart. "Ecce Cor Meum," says Paul. Behold my core. Look at my Starr:
Here is the cover of Ringo Rama. Our beloved Ringo is depicted wearing a Sgt. Pepper jacket. He's got a heart and star on his chest to drive the point home: "Look at Sgt. Pepper's heart; it's a star!"
John gives us directions: "Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain." A bass has a bridge. The bass made of flowers is next to the fountain, or font, where Lakshmi floats upon her lotus bloom. (There is also a perpetual fountain of coins flowing from her hand). If we follow Lucy down to the bass bridge and from there on past Lakshmi's fountain, we arrive at the star made of flowers. "Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile." The star is the turnstile. Indeed, the Beatles' fame turned upon the arrival of Ringo Starr.
The heart keeps the beat. Ringo keeps the beat. The drummer is the clock. The Sgt. Pepper drum is a clock. Mister Kite says, "the band begins at ten to six," and when we look at the Pepper drum, the word "BAND" begins at the place where the hour hand points when the time is ten to six.
Think deeper about Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and Mister Kite. A kite is shaped like a diamond in the sky. Like a diamond in the sky.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Starr.
