I like your avatar. It makes me think 1) You're about to rob a train 2) You live in Japan, have a cold, and are very polite or this

so is this whole letter thing fake? That's not what he said. He simply said the ink underlining "the star" is not the same as was usedin the writing of the note.

I found out. I assume you are referring to the yellow convertible, from the RA clips, a rental in CA?

] carlie and neil, BFF I want to live, I want to give I've been a miner for a heart of gold. It's these expressions I never give That keep me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. Keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. I've been to Hollywood I've been to Redwood I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line That keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. Keeps me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. Keep me searching for a heart of gold You keep me searching for a heart of gold And I'm getting old. I've been a miner for a heart of gold.

The afternoon had waned into evening, and the sun was rapidly sinking in to the perpetual ruddy plain. From my vantage point I watched a most incredible exchange of colors in the kaleidoscope of the setting sun. A new and welcome chill in the wind persuaded me to descend. In the last moments of the daylight I thought I could discern the dark silhouette of an unlikely duo slowly and painfully making their way towards Puerta Lapice. One was continuing his incessant discourse while the other, patronizing his master, expressed insincere concern over his well-being: ‘Sit more upright, sir, for you seem to be riding lop-sided.’ Their voices became gradually weaker as they waddled into the night.
'Here, brother Sancho Panza, we can steep our arms to the elbow in what they call adventure.' . . . He was much concerned, however, at the loss of his lance, and, speaking of it to his squire, remarked: 'I remember reading that a certain Spanish knight called Diego Perez de Vargas, having broken his sword in battle, tore a great bough or a limb from an oak, and performed [great] deeds with it . . . I mention this because I purpose to tear down just such a limb from the first oak we meet, as big and as good as his; and I intend to do such deeds with it that you may consider yourself most fortunate to have won the right to have seen them. For you will witness things which will scarcely be credited . . . '

Miles, do you think the note is the real thing? So, you haven't been to Barker's Ranch. Have you been anywhere else? ie. Laredo, or in Mexico.

The Zodiac writer makes a small "a" in a completely different manner from the Deo letter. In the Deo letter most every small "a" has an exaggerated tail, almost like little nines.

exact exact match, relatively impossible based on the two different emotions probably given in the two samples, and break in thought in composition (state of mind).........I am no one to really say, but I'm sure law enforcement would still be interested in the comparison. Also take into consideration of the free form (unlined style, spacing btwn letters, ink choices, folding of paper ( in thirds, folded or not) , centering of body of letter as well. Plus the added diagram attached to each message and not to mention the inclusion of Deo's letter of the names Tex and Charlie, which is enough Right there to hand the letter over to ....someone w/ an honest badge. I dunno, jarv, compare more S's , R's, U's and N's. I'm still not convinced .........

I agree with Iameye. Very similar. The "a"s may be slightly different, but I wouldn't say "completely". The passage of time could account for the relatively small variation (imo) in them.

The small "d" is also different. Zodiac makes them with a tail, while in Deo's note they are almost all made without a tail.
