Well first, you should show that Paul and Paul, and Faul and Faul match up, to show how easy a body fade should be. I can probably grab two head to toe pics of anyone, and chances are, you'll get something that looks like that. It's just a simple example of perspective distortion. When looking up at something, it seems to get smaller the further from you it gets, like looking up at a building. /\ But when looking down on something, the opposite happens. \/ When pics are taken from a better angle, you get something like this: Perhaps Paul's hat gives the optical illusion of additional volume, but clearly Faul's head is significantly larger/wider here as well. Not to mention that they just look like two different people. The reality is that Paul was shorter than Bill, but even when scaled to the same height, their relative head sizes were not the same. If you guys can't see it, well, then follow your bliss.

Just for fun, here are a few actually shot at a similar angle. Ya, you have to be very careful which pics you use for these slick fade-jobs, don't you.... Yeah, you wouldn't want to use these two: Paul had a noticeably smaller head than Faul when their bodies are scaled to the same height. Pro tip: When doing PIA fades, never show the full bodies so you can play games with the relative scales. Else you might see something like this:

The rest of the Beatles were too devastated after Paul's death to do more than go through the motions. Faul was the only one not grieving so naturally he would be the logical one to become the "leader".

You're right! Yellow pepper (from the LP) was doctored to look more like Paul. Red pepper (from the CD) had the correct proportions that match most of Paul's later photos, so we know it wasn't doctored. What you're comparing up there, is apples and oranges. I believe (not sure) the B/W one is from one of the out-takes that didn't make the album. Either that or they adjusted it to match Paul's correct proportions based on other photos. Without a good translation, it's hard to tell.

I don't think Sir P would touch it. It would bring way too much publicity if it was a court thing. He's too smart for that. (isn't he?) I think if he were the original Paul, he would sue them for sure. But since he's not, the smart thing is to ignore it or laugh it off.

Here's the link to the Italian online version of Wired. There seems to be no mention of the PID article. I searched for "paul mccartney" and got no matches. www.wired.it/Yeah, but if you click on the "magazine" tab, it brings you to an image of the the July issue, August it would seem is not online yet. il ras definitely sent me a scan of a print edition.. Perhaps I'll do both, make a text version and make something that can be posted as inline images here. I see what you mean. It's good il ras has a printed copy. This is one of those stories that might not make it to the online version, if Macca's lawyers hear about it.
