OMG! Whats with the new board and this password business? like what is going in on in there? copyright issues? I don't understand especially after it was put up on utube for the whole world to see, now its top secret? no copyright issues! lol, but after you've read the post TD made a while ago, you will understand. that is our explanation for it.

I don't know if Mikes already posted re 'the new sgt pepper board' but basically, here it is - explained... in a nutshell: We've made the file-dumping threads (previously this thread) for the album private (open for anyone who wants to join the project - just pm myself, paul or mike for the password) so that when its finally finished you won't have heard it all already.. basically, with us continually updating mixes etc by the time we're done you'll have heard a zillion versions of everything we've done and it'll all lose it's sparkle... thats the long and the short of it really. Anything to add, Michael? No, alex... i guess you hit the spot there ! ;D we (i certainly) will update this topic every now and then with information where we are you know...

hmkay, so mike has told me he will re-do his guitar when he gets home. moving on a little bit, this is how the next one is shaping up: 03. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds* Lead Vocals - PP* Backing Vocals - Mike/TD* Lead Guitar - Mike* Rhythm Guitar - PP* Bass - TD* Keyboard - organ, clavier, sitar * - TD* Drums * - TDand after i've had my brief encounter with tonight's jazz fag ill be back off into my hovel to sequence the drum track for Lucy. If I have the time I'll try and add the sitar and organ parts too. And maybe the bass, but no promises lol Ok well heres a vocal but no chorus yet www.jojoplace.org/uploads/lucyvocalnochorus.wavyou're too early lol because we have different timing, this version will be out of sync later on..

Just listened, sounds pretty good, but i recommend taking out my previous backing vocals and replacing them with the file that will appear here just as soon as it has finished uploading, they are much improved. Also, does anyone fancy doing a vocal version of Pepper because I don't think mine are up to it to be honest? oh yeah, i can't replace your vocals.. i don't have the edited multitracks from TD

i'm going to do the best i can. playing loudly has been vetoed because my mother is asleep with a cold, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem. I already know both parts pretty much spot on, so its just a case of recording about sync problems: the only way to really make it perfect would be to re-do the lead vocals and guitar to the current drum track. it literally took me hours to sync your version up, and i had to drag and drop sync rather than time-stretch as it goes in and out of time quite a lot it also needs a tambourine overdub (i have one, so that shouldn't be a problem) and the lead guitar overdub (i havent learned that part yet, but can do so tonight most likely)... i dont think theres anything else - if you can think of anything let me know i would glady do that get online now and send those files please

okay, I have to stop for tonight - I'm being told off because of the noise. What I've done: Mostly I've been fitting your guitar/vocal parts over my drum track... that took long enough. After that I resolved to learn the piano part (which was easy) and the bass part (which wasn't so easy).. either way, I have them down in practice so I can overdub them tomorrow and we have a pretty much complete song here's what I made out of it, i'll post the constituent parts tomorrow when i have more time www.jojoplace.org/uploads/walhfmf_session002_mixdown2.mp3this version is already beautifull .. still some tiny tiny sych problems that need to be solved.. you adding your Faux bass lines and piano this stuff is going great!

to be honest i dont think paul's parts are too bad... if i do some as well we'll have enough different parts to chop and change between the good and bad bits, and if its lower in the mix it should be masked a bit better i liked the double tracking on the vocals.. might need a few touch-ups, but the sound is ok im just receiving.. or about to receive... mikes bass, guitar and vocal parts separately so im going to try and mix what we have and add a piano track, perhaps the additional guitar parts and ill report back with what i have yeah i overreacted over the whole backing track, some parts are good.. although i still prefer 1 person doing the backing vocals in a double tracking way.. we can do 2 persons i guess
