Well as far as I'm aware. Myself and "the deceptionist" live in England, horseloverphat may also, I reckon (as mentioned before) that we should all join together and cover pepper.
I reckon it would "turn out nice again!"
;D

If you're going to do Pepper you might want to enlist some help, especially for that last song.

Didn't mean to get in the way of your bi-coastal ... bi-polar joke! Well, there are two Pauls. Does that make them Bi-Paular? Look, you old timers know how I operate. Groan, explain it to the newbies, and move on. I'll keep it to a minimum............ Bien, il y a deux Pauls. Les fait-il Bi-Paular ? Regarde, vous que de vieux compte-minutes connaissent comment j'opère. Le gémissement, l'expliquent au newbies et repartent. Je le garderai à un minimum ............ And that is an example of bi-lingual ladies and gentlemen.

I almost forgot about this... so how many of you are interested in doing this thing? i for one think it would be pretty cool. Between the whole lot of us I'm sure we could collaborate and bring whatever specialty we have each to the songs we're involved in to make it, as PP said, 'turn out nice'. I know this was originally mentioned in another thread but I can't remember which, so I'm going to have to attempt to use my memory here to ascertain who's in... Well - I'm game... PPaul I presume you're up for this as you made the thread, as well as eyesbleed, mindgames... doc? From what I can remember of the other thread - wasn't it Mike who was also interested...? So... Doc Eyesbleed Mike Mindgames Plastic Paul The Deceptionist... HLP's triangle comment got me thinking.. it would be quite interesting to feature 'non-musically inclined' people doing things like percussion and whatnot just to make it our very own.. nice community activity, too ;D Ok - found it: it was the Sgt Pepper Tabs that spawned this whole thing.. and there weren't any other (vocal) takers on that thread that I haven't already mentioned- but all the same, I'd say this is open for anyone who wants to, to join in and make luvverly muzak with us

I've only had a piano for 10 months, I've been trying to learn the little solo from Lovely Rita, I got halfway through it and got bored, so now I'm learning Bach's Little Fugue instead. I've only been playing acoustic guitar for a year so I'm not really that good. My big accomplishment is that I can finally play bar chords and switch around pretty smoothly, but I have crap for timing because I never play with a metronome. I also play bass (left handed!) but only with a pick, I can't do any of the cool slapping stuff It sucks because I want to get better, but it's really hard to do with classes and things getting in the way.

I'll contribute my kazoo-ing expertise to this project. In fact, I'll kazoo the little ditty Lovely Rita...someone else can provide the vocals.
You never know what hidden message comes from backward kazooing!

I am in the usa but don't assume I am not musically inclined. whoever suggested this was drunk remember? LOL indeed seems like hard work now! How are people envisaging it happening then? Well I figured we wouldn't ALL have to be on each song, I thought perhaps we can pick the ones we think we might be able to pull off, and collaborate with however many people it would take for each one. And with the spread of people involved that should hopefully spread the workload into more manageable chunks Glad to see this thread back up and moving again ;D As far as contributing goes from my end: I can play a bit of piano (keyboard really - makes for a variety of voices), any guitar.. i have a little tabla - christ, that reminds me, i've only just remembered 'within you without you' is a pepper song lol. sheeet I can sing in a very limited way.. I might be able to pull of 'Being for the benefit of Mr Kite' 'good morning' or backing vocals.. actually having said that, I can hold my own through a good deal of 'a day in the life' ... though maybe not. i can also sequence and mix stuff (I'm thinking orchestral overdubs etc) on audition do we have any drummers? i think it'd be quite cool if we all sang in the pepper choruses ;D team effort lol p.s. good to see you back, rita ;D

I could contribute lyrics. I already have re-written With A Little Help From My Friends as With A Little Help From Depends (in honor of Baby Wiggle)! Also, we could re-name the Sgt Pepper's CD. We could call it... Sgt Leaper's Phony Art's Club Scam (In honor of Sunking). With such hit's as She's Dead, She's Dead. The title track: Sgt Leaper's: "It's terrible to be here, it's really not a thrill, you're such a lousy audience, we'd like to send you home at once, we'd love to send you home!" Also, Lovely Rita would become Ugly Billy. "Ugly Billy, fix your face... got the bill, and Ringo paid it, sitting on a sofa with a whiskey or two!" And ummm... well, I could sing and play acoustic guitar. And btw, I also love to do the loud piano part at the end of A Day In The Life (To be re-titled A Day In The Death)! It'll be a smash hit! And Doc could play piano. He's soooooo sweet! *** Gushes *** So. What do you think?! Can I be in the band?

Turning my namesake into Ugly Billy....well, with some surgical procedures, it could happen....
I thought perhaps the working title could also be
Sgt. Pooper's Only Fart's Club Band brought to you by the maker's of Depends and Philips Milk of Magnesia.
Featuring Phil Mc Cavity, the singing Dentist, Tiddles the Wonder Cat, and Baby Wiggle on drums.
