You tell me that you've got everything you want And your bird can sing But you don't get me, you don't get me
You say you've seen seven wonders and your bird is green But you can't see me, you can't see me
When your prized possessions start to weigh you down Look in my direction, I'll be round, I'll be round Beethoven's Ode To Joy & Nowhere Man If I Needed Someone Tell Me What You See Maxwell’s Silver Hammer Her Majesty P.S. I Love You Bump!

I'll just leave this here *cough* Revolver *cough*
The piano was the same one used by a man posing as Paul McCartney on the song Hey Jude by a group posing as The Beatles
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide No escape from reality Open your eyes Look up to the skies and see I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy Because I'm easy come, easy go Little high, little low Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me
Mama, just killed a man Put a gun against his head Pulled my trigger, now he's dead Mama, life had just begun But now I've gone and thrown it all away Mama, ooo Didn't mean to make you cry If I'm not back again this time tomorrow Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come Sends shivers down my spine Body's aching all the time Goodbye everybody I've got to go Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth Mama, ooo (anyway the wind blows) I don't want to die I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all
I see a little silhouetto of a man Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango Thunderbolt and lightning very very frightening me Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo Figaro - magnifico
I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me He's just a poor boy from a poor family Spare him his life from this monstrosity Easy come easy go will you let me go Bismillah! No we will not let you go - let him go Bismillah! We will not let you go - let him go Bismillah! We will not let you go let me go Will not let you go let me go (never) Never let you go let me go Never let me go ooo No, no, no, no, no, no, no Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me For me For me
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye So you think you can love me and leave me to die Oh baby can't do this to me baby Just gotta get out just gotta get right out of here
Ooh yeah, ooh yeah Nothing really matters Anyone can see Nothing really matters nothing really matters to me
Anyway the wind blows.

This was on vintage tv yesterday and I listened to the lyrics when she sung "I found a picture of you" and got a shiver down my spine when she sang "In the wretched life of a lonely heart."
This song speaks of the conflict rock stars who sell their souls for fame and fortune, and the agenda of the powers that be which control the music industry by deception offers. They can separate themselves from the sheeple and turn us into slaves (if we're fortunate enough to survive)
Also did a brief search and Chrissie is a friend of Faul and was a friend of Linda. It makes me wonder what levels of deception are operating here. Are people unknowingly keeping falsehoods, believing they are keeping a secret truth?
Back on the Chain Gang The Pretenders
I found a picture of you, oh oh oh oh What hijacked my world that night To a place in the past We've been cast out of? Oh oh oh oh Now we're back in the fight We're back on the train Oh, back on the chain gang
A circumstance beyond our control, oh oh oh oh The phone, the TV and the news of the world Got in the house like a pigeon from hell, oh oh oh oh Threw sand in our eyes and descended like flies Put us back on the train Oh, back on the chain gang
The powers that be That force us to live like we do Bring me to my knees When I see what they've done to you But I'll die as I stand here today Knowing that deep in my heart They'll fall to ruin one day For making us part
I found a picture of you, oh oh oh oh Those were the happiest days of my life Like a break in the battle was your part, oh oh oh oh In the wretched life of a lonely heart Now we're back on the train Oh, back on the chain gang

joseph, that song was written about James Honeyman-Scott, one of her band members who died before his time. He died of heart failure due to "cocaine intolerance". Chrissie Hynde has said this.

Curiouser and curiouser. If that is so why did the powers that be make them part?

I don't know if someone had post this, but just in case,There are some interesting lyrics in "Look Out, There's A Monster Coming" by Bonzo Dog Band, remember that they wrote "Death Cab For Cutie", they appeared in MMT and Vivian Stanshall, according to some, it was or is (a) faul
"So I changed my personality. I bought a delux Merseybeat wig Be popular, learn to play the guitar, In seven days you could be strumming. I reshaped my nose, Plastic surgery's best."

Reference rather than a 'clue'. And, no, I still don't believe there are more than a handful of non-Beatle-originated song clues.

Sometimes it helps to have the lyrics too. "Rabbit Hole" I'm not gonna go down the rabbit hole With you, with you, with you again I'm not gonna go down the rabbit hole With you, with you, with you again Bad habits will be broken Boy, I have kicked a few And seven days off the dope and I'll be as good as new I'm not gonna go down the rabbit hole With you, with you, with you again It was a sexual kinda connection With spiritual undertones But boy, you had me second guessing The Beatles and the Rolling Stones I'm not gonna go down the rabbit hole With you, with you, with you again I'm not gonna go down the rabbit hole With you, with you, with you again I'm not gonna go down the rabbit hole With you, with you, with you again (but)I am gonna go down the rabbit holeWithout you Without you www.columbian.com/news/2019/mar/21/the-journey-of-jenny-lewis/"...Lewis has always felt that her songs are prophetic somehow, like they knew things that would happen to her before she did. She is still struck by the naivete of many of those early songs, but she wonders if she was setting intentions she didn’t know about. “I’m always surprised by my songs, at either how irrelevant or relevant they feel,” she says. “There’s hidden messages to myself in there. It’s like I’m singing to my future and past self.”"

No. I don't think Phil Spector killed Paul, but I think that "Stay out of the way of the gun shot devil" may well apply to him. Kind of a joke: Don't get yourself killed by this loon! I may comment further when I get around to it. In the meantime, here's one I never would have thought of as PID-related, but in the 'Memoirs of Billy Shears' book, Billy sometimes phrases things to make you think of a song, and in this instance, according to the book, John was telling Brian Epstein, "You don't know what it's like" [to be without Paul] after he got the news that Paul was dead. The implicit connection is made. Bee Gees - To Love Somebody (1967) HD 0815007www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHtGu0OGEpc"To Love Somebody" Writer(s): BARRY ALAN GIBB, ROBIN HUGH GIBB There's a light A certain kind of light That never shone on me I want my life to be lived with you Lived with you There's a way, everybody say, To do each and every little thing But what does it bring If I ain't got you, ain't got? Hey babe You don't know what it's like, baby You don't know what it's like To love somebody To love somebody The way I love you In my brain I see your face again I know my frame of mind You ain't got to be so blind And I'm blind, so so sorrily blind I'm a man, can't you see What I am I live and I breathe for you But what good does it do If I ain't got you, ain't got? Hey babe You don't know what it's like, baby You don't know what it's like To love somebody To love somebody The way I love you Oooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh You don't know what it's like, baby You don't know what it's like To love somebody To love somebody The way I love you Noo noo no-no nooo nooooo You don't know what it's like, baby You don't know what it's like To love somebody To love somebody The way I love you ---------- www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/beegees/tolovesomebody.htmlRobert Stigwood, the band's manager, requested this song, and the Bee Gees recorded it in July 1967. It was originally intended for Otis Redding, but he died later that year. Barry Gibb explained in an interview with Mojo magazine in June 2001, "It was for Robert. I say that unabashedly. He asked me to write a song for him, personally. It was written in New York and played to Otis but, personally, it was for Robert.""Or was it?"

The implicit connection is made. I began to post about this when the subject first came up, but it seemed off-topic: Jeff Clarkson, the brother of the woman, Lana, whom Phil finally got sent to the clink for killing, crashed with me for a few weeks shortly after she was killed and while the news cycle was still whirling about her murder. They were each other's only full siblings but had been raised among many children on one of the Northern California communes that are rife for retroactive conspiracy theories. He was beside himself with rage and grief and had sort of come-to in the midst of a fight or flight PTSD thing, in his truck, driving at 4am from the family's circled wagons in Florida up to New York. We met waiting for a light to change, struck up conversation and wandered off to a bar, and then another, for like two weeks. Anyway, I'm interested in your your thoughts about Spector. & I nominate Janis' interpretation as the official version:

I'm afraid I only know as much about Phil Spector as 'everybody else'. I don't have any enlightened commentary to add regarding him.

Ok, I'm almost going out of my tree looking for a PID song which I thought was in this thread.
The artist is singing about being at a party and Paul McCartney isn't really Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan isn't really Bod Dylan. The man who sung and composed this this died before his time, I believe killed because of this very song. It was mentioned a year or two ago in our local media, I think the 40th anniversary of his death or something and they were acting like they didn't understand the lyrics. Does anyone know what song and artist I am talking about?

Closest I can think of is "Garden Party" by Rick Nelson Rick Nelson Garden Party 1985www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxdiraVxwkII went to a garden party To reminisce with my old friends A chance to share old memories And play our songs again When I got to the garden party They all knew my name No one recognized me I didn't look the same But it's all right now I learned my lesson well You see, ya can't please everyone So ya got to please yourself People came from miles around Everyone was there Yoko brought her walrus There was magic in the air 'N' over in the corner Much to my surprise Mr Hughes hid in Dylan's shoes Wearing his disguise But it's all right now I learned my lesson well You see, ya can't please everyone So ya got to please yourself Lott-in-dah-dah lot-in-dah-dah-dah Played them all the old songs Thought that's why they came No one heard the music We didn't look the same I said hello to "Mary Lou" She belongs to me When I sang a song about a honky-tonk It was time to leave But it's all right now I learned my lesson well You see, ya can't please everyone So ya got to please yourself Lot-dah-dah (lot-dah-dah-dah) Lot-in-dah-dah-dah Someone opened up a closet door And out stepped Johnny B Goode Playing guitar Like a-ringin' a bell And lookin' like he should If you gotta play at garden parties I wish you a lotta luck But if memories were all I sang I rather drive a truck But it's all right now I learned my lesson well You see, ya can't please everyone So ya got to please yourself Lot-dah-dah (lot-dah-dah-dah) Lot-in-dah-dah-dah 'N' it's all right now Learned my lesson well You see, ya can't please everyone So you got to please yourself ----------- The song was about an appearance he made at Madison Square Garden. "Mr. Hughes" who hid in Dylan's shoes was George Harrison. (No, I can't explain it.)

The irony of Ricky Nelson is he looks like he was replaced too! As he sings in "garden party" no one recognized him! He then dies in a mysterious plane crash! His voice sure sound different in his early career! www.youtube.com/watch?v=0janfcZ8LUw

At least Rick managed to grow pupils in his 'elder years'. The record company felt he would be worth more (to them) dead than alive, and the "mysterious plane crash" took place.

Don't Stop
Fleetwood Mac
If you wake up and don't want to smile
If it takes just a little while
Open your eyes and look at the day
You'll see things in a different way
Don't stop thinking about tomorrow
Don't stop, it'll soon be here
It'll be, better than before
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone
Why not think about times to come?
And not about the things that you've done
If your life was bad to you
Just think what tomorrow will do
Don't stop thinking about tomorrow
Don't stop, it'll soon be here
It'll be, better than before,
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone
All I want is to see you smile
If it takes just a little while
I know you don't believe that it's true
I never meant any harm to you
Don't stop thinking about tomorrow
Don't stop, it'll soon be here
It'll be, better than before,
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone
Don't stop thinking about tomorrow
Don't stop, it'll soon be here
It'll be, better than before
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone
Ooh, don't you look back
Ooh, don't you look back
Ooh, don't you look back
Ooh, don't you look back

Yesterdays
Guns N' Roses
Yesterday, there was so many things
I was never told
Now that I'm startin' to learn
I feel I'm growin' old
'Cause yesterday's got nothin' for me
Old pictures that I'll always see
Time just fades the pages
In my book of memories
Prayers in my pocket
And no hand in destiny
I'll keep on movin' along
With no time to plant my feet
'Cause yesterday's got nothin' for me
Old pictures that I'll always see
Some things could be better
If we'd all just let them be
Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Got nothin' for me
Yesterday there were so many things
I was never shown
Suddenly this time I found
I'm on the streets and I'm all alone
Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Old pictures that I'll always see
I ain't got time to reminisce old novelties
Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Yesterday
Yesterday
