Emitt Lynn Rhodes is an American singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer born February 25, 1950 in Decatur, Illinois. When he was five his family moved to Hawthorne, California. Considered by many as "the one man Beatles," his recordings show a clear Paul McCartney influence in both vocals and musicianship. Rhodes began his career in musical ensembles The Palace Guard (as the group's drummer) and The Merry-Go-Round (multi-instrumentalist), leaving the drums to the expertise of Joel Larson. The Merry-Go-Round had a recording contract with A&M Records when they disbanded in 1969. Rhodes recorded songs at A&M for a solo album to be entitled The American Dream, but A&M decided to not release it at the time. Rhodes then decided to go out on his own and bought equipment to make a recording studio in his parent's garage. Rhodes recorded his first album (Emitt Rhodes) in that home studio. He got a recording contract with ABC/Dunhill Records, who released his album, as well as the next two albums he recorded (Mirror and Farewell to Paradise). Rhodes got a $5,000 advance for Emitt Rhodes, which he spent on recording equipment. His first album was a critical success – Billboard called Rhodes "one of the finest artists on the music scene today" and later called his first album one of the "best albums of the decade". The album reached number 29 on the Billboard charts. The single "Fresh as a Daisy" reached number 54 on the pop chart. Meanwhile, shortly after Mirror was released in 1971 by Dunhill, A&M decided to release their old recordings of The American Dream, which confused record buyers. Mirror did reach the top 200 on Billboard's album chart. In 1973 Dunhill released Rhodes' final album, Farewell to Paradise. Rhodes wrote all of the songs on his albums. On Emitt Rhodes, Mirror, and Farewell to Paradise, he played all of the instruments and sang all of the vocals while recording himself in his home recording studio. He used a four-track recorder for the instruments for Emitt Rhodes and transferred those to an eight-track recorder to add the vocals. He used an eight-track recorder for Mirror, and Farewell to Paradise. Rhodes' contract with Dunhill called for an album every six months (six albums over three years) – a schedule that was impossible for Rhodes to meet, due to writing all of the songs and recording each instrument and vocal individually by himself. Dunhill sued Rhodes for $250,000 and withheld royalties because of his failure to deliver albums on the timescale required by the contract. Emitt Rhodes took nearly a year to record, Mirror took nine months, and Farewell to Paradise took over a year. After 1973's Farewell to Paradise, Rhodes left the music business as a performer and released no more material, except on compilations. He continued to record his songs in his studio, but they were unreleased except for one song on Listen, Listen. He worked as a recording engineer and record producer for Elektra Records. He runs his own studio for recording other acts. Rhodes' song "Lullabye" (from Emitt Rhodes) was featured in the 2001 Wes Anderson film The Royal Tenenbaums. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emitt_RhodesWell, well, well...let's have a listen:www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUDi4wCzG0AAnd here's the video for American Dream, by CSNY. B's had a lot of interesting things to say about American Dream, and I think that the song/video combines with Roger Waters' RADIO K.A.O.S. to tell the story of JPM hiding out in California, as I said in the Queen of Cosmania thread:
Roger Waters, SUNSET STRIP: "I like staying with my Uncle Dave (Crosby?)And i like playing with his great dane But I don't fit I feel alien and strange, Kinda outa range I like riding in my Uncle's car Down to the beach where the pretty girls all parade And movie stars and paparazzi play The Charles Atlas kicking sand in the face game "And I sit in the canyon with my back to the sea There's a blood red dragon on a field of green Calling me back Back to the Black Hills again (Rocky Raccoon?)Ooh, ooh, Billy come homeBilly is searching for his native land Flicking through the stations with the dial in his head Picking up -------------- and A male voice choir on the short wave band Billy taps out Jim's number on the 'phone He sits shaking as he waits for Jim's answering tone Come on my friend, speak to me please The land of my fathers is calling to me And I sit in the canyon with my back to the sea There's a blood red dragon on a field of green Calling me back, back to the Black Hills again Ooh, ooh, Billy come homeCome on home He sits in the canyon with his back to the sea Sees a blood red dragon on a field of green He hears a male voice choir singing Billy come homeBilly, Billy, come home Come on home"And:And this from the Radio K.A.O.S. synopsis:" Billy is confined to a wheelchair and is thought to be mentally a vegetable. However, Billy is highly intelligent but has no way of expressing himself. Billy has a twin brother Benny who is a coal miner. Billy lives with Benny, Molly his wife, and their children. Unfortunately, Benny has lost his job in the mines due to the "market forces". One night, Benny and Billy are out on a pub crawl when they pass a shop full of TV screens broadcasting Margaret Thatcher's "mocking condescension". Benny vents his anger on this shop and steals a cordless phone. Next, in theatrical fashion, Benny poses on a footbridge in protest to the closures; the same night, a taxi driver is killed by a concrete block dropped from a similar bridge. The police question Benny, who hides the phone in Billy's wheelchair. Benny is taken to prison, and Molly, unable to cope, sends Billy to live with his uncle David in L.A.. Billy is gifted and can hear radio waves in his head ("Radio Waves" track 1), so he begins to explore the cordless phone, recognising its similarity to a radio. He experiments with the phone and is able to access computers and speech synthesisers, he learns to speak through them." Ok, I know that I just threw an awful lot of information at you, but this Emitt Rhodes character seems to be a piece to our puzzle.

Fantastic, P(D)enny La(i)ne! Excellent detective work! Amazing! Looking at those clips, I noticed some very interesting related videos. Read the description of this one on the right: ISIS -APRIL FOOL (1974)www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIFiuIV67u0I will be doing a separate thread on all that is mentioned in it. Believe it or not, it seems to relate to the whole PID-PWR enigma.

Thanks, B.
That ISIS -APRIL FOOL you posted is pretty, well....it's pretty........
strange?
amazing?
wack?
All of the above?
Yes!More on Emitt Rhodes: "Most cult heroes are cult heroes by design. Either his or her music is too esoteric to be accepted by the mainstream, or his or her personality too erratic or weird for most people to understand or tolerate. In either respect, the artist usually has sought out selective rather than widespread acceptance on purpose. The cult audience, in turn, is grateful for the opportunity to feel superior to all the stupid, smelly legions of idiots who make up the majority of the music-buying public. "Then there's people like Emitt Rhodes, who's a cult hero for no good reason whatsoever. Far from obscure, his music is loaded with melodic charisma, that essential ingredient that makes you want to hear some records over and over again. Often called a musical dead ringer for Sir Paul McCartney, Rhodes is really the Macca we all wish Macca would be: an incredible pop tunesmith without all the gooey sentimentality and overflowing cuteness. The crown jewel of Rhodes' small body of work is his self-titled debut album. Released to critical acclaim and modest commercial success in 1970, Emitt Rhodes has since taken on mythical status among power-pop and '70's rock aficionados. The album is a tour-de-force: just like McCartney on his first solo album, Rhodes played all the instruments and sang all the vocals himself."Born and raised in Hawthorne, California, a bastion of power-pop thanks to homeboys The Beach Boys, Rhodes started with rock 'n' roll in his early teens, playing drums in a band called The Emerals. "My father was really nice," Rhodes said. "He let me use the garage. Having a garage was, for a drummer, a really popular thing. Every band needs a place to rehearse and I had one." The Emerals played the local circuit, including Hawthorne High School dances. It was at one of these dances that Rhodes had a run-in with one of his hometown's soon-to-be princes. "Dennis Wilson broke my drum pedal," Rhodes recalled over 35 years later. "He never paid for it or got me a new one. He just broke it and left."The Emerals soon evolved into The Palace Guard, who had a minor hit single called "Falling Sugar." Emitt was still the drummer, but he was looking to step out from behind the drum kit and into the spotlight. In 1966, he left The Palace Guard and formed another group with a long name (remember this is mid-60s L.A.) called The Merry-Go-Round. Instead of keeping time, Rhodes was now the guitar-playing frontman and songwriter. Retaining guitarist Gary Kato from his old band, the 16-year-old Rhodes recruited drummer Joel Larson and bassist Bill Rhinehart to complete the line-up. Incidentally, hasn't Paul been quoted saying that Helter Skelter is British slang for a merry-go-round?Watch here as the Merry-Go-Round play a medley at The Hollywood Palace.
Oh, and they're introduced by none other than Don Knotts, but that's probably just a coincidence... The intro to the song they do immediately following the Knotts introduction sounds uncannily like the intro to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The new group quickly recorded what would be its biggest hit, a Rubber Soul soundalike called "Live." Based on a demo of "Live" and another song called "Clown's No Good," A&M Records signed The Merry-Go-Round and released "Live" as a single. After the song shot to number one in L.A., A&M slapped together a bunch of demos and called it M-G-R's debut album. Called simply The Merry-Go-Round, the album holds up surprisingly well considering the circumstances. "Gonna Fight the War" and "Low Down" are tough guitar songs that rival the best Buffalo Springfield, while more melancholy tracks like "You're A Very Lovely Woman" and "On Your Way Out" out-Big Star Big Star more than three years before #1 Record. Essentially a garage "boy band," The M-G-R nevertheless had a sophisticated sound, due in large part to Rhodes' rapidly developing songwriting ability." More here: www.furious.com/perfect/emittrhodes.htmlUPDATE:
I just noticed that Don Knotts very conspicuously gives the Goat Horn sign as he's introducing The Merry-Go-Round.This just keeps getting crazier and crazier. I just said to Miss La(i)ne that my head is about to explode!

There doesn't seem to be anything blatant here, but lots of significant words show up in their lyrics. Never heard of Bottlefly before...?
Bottlefly - MERRY GO ROUND
I believe life is a roller coaster I believe in my little dream I'm superman See the world is gradually getting smaller As I fly no helter skelter's dragging me down I go round
So make the most stop burning the toast Watch the wheels that roll me over Doctor, doctor leave it to me - can't you see I'm floating through the clouds
Riding my merry-go-round
You and I, we could pave the way in silver Say good bye hand in hand together we go Cause I know So make the most stop burning the toast Watch the wheels that roll me over Doctor, doctor leave it to me Cant you see I'm floating through the clouds
(clouds) riding my merry-go-round Merry-go-round
Bottlefly - CLOWNS
Clowns lyrics
Maybe I,m a loser. I guess I will never know When you see my eyes do you stare And make it all right
Lately I dont see things the way that I used to see 'Til the day I die, I will be but never know why And life is complicated and I need celebrating yeah yeah
I should be laughing with the clowns on my birthday. I should be dancing all around on my birthday.
Why dont you just kill me and save all the misery And I'm sure you'll find you have left nothing behind I will keep on dancing inside of my tiny mind 'Til the day I die, I will be but never know why And life is complicated and I need celebrating
I should be laughing with the clowns on my birthday I should be dancing on the moon on my birthday
Chorus
So bring in my clowns, where are my clowns?
Bottlefly - STRAWBERRY
Strawberry lyrics
The girl with the rainbow eyes and hair Is floating around me, floating around me Feel the honey breeze I hear the beautiful Love birds singing the love words Dancing round the tree, she's singing
I'm so free loving everything Love is a strawberry Shut my eyes cover me with cream Love is a strawberry
The psychedelic sun burns on the candyfloss Clouds flying by now She belongs to me and I see She wants to excite you, she wants to ignite you Dancing round the tree shes singing
Bottlefly - SILVER REVOLVER
Silver Revolver lyrics
You jam it up with Jammy Jimmy what a joker You whip my ass and say I'm nothing but a memory I'm so out of it I really can't remember Sometimes I wish the world would open up and swallow me
I'm foaming up, I'm falling out with funny feelings So pathetic she will only know what time will do Starting to blow and then she covers me with pity So who's the victim when the weight of it is crushing me
Like a silver revolver burning on my tongue Like a silver revolver burning in the sun
You puke a lot of talk for someone who is ugly Don't you think you've gotta better way to flatter me Would you rather sit and talk about the weather Or would you rather be a part of aristocracy
It's like a silver revolver burning on my tongue Like a silver revolver burning in the sun
Your like an image of a silver revolver You shove a rocket up a battery soldier You take a pill and say you'll never get older I'll take the weight and take the world off your shoulders
UMBRELLA
She's got a gold painted soul With a ticket to roll She's like a ball of an uncontrollable fire She's in a dream magazine Like a Jupiter Queen If you don't know you can call me a liar Tooty Fruity living with a loony Like a chimpanzee on a wire 2 by 2 I try to follow you But you wont keep this rhythm in time
She's got me going now she's my She's my umbrella, my umbrella today my umbrella Now she's my, she's my umbrella today
I've got a head full of coffee As I'm crashing along I've got the bitch in the back of the van Well shes a head strong King Kong always smoking Cheech and Chong I love her juvenile scam Ruby Tuesdays always on a Friday Theres a full moon coming tonight Hold the clock Cause shes a beautiful fox But she wont keep this rhythm in time
[Umbrellas seem to be a trendy topic lately....?]

Helter Skelter - A 1949 British Comedy-Romance film: This film is periodically repeated on Australia's ABC and each time I watch it I am struck by how far ahead of its time it was. Sure, it's black and white, but the jokes are funny and the story actually takes advantage of tricks one can do with film which hadn't been possible with theatre. The story centres around heiress Susan Graham (played by Carol Marsh) and her quest to rid herself of the hiccups. She is alternately aided and hindered in her quest by two guardian uncles (each of whom has a son who they hope will marry Susan), 'heroic' radio man Nick Martin (David Tomlinson) who in fact is brow-beaten by his domineering mother Mrs Martin (Judith Furse), but the film also segues into little comic vignettes. Look quickly and you'll see Wilfred Hyde-White (of "My Fair Lady" fame) playing Dr Jekyll, Harry Secombe, Terry-Thomas, Mervyn Johns, Glynis Johns and many other notables of the time. All in all, Helter Skelter is good clean fun and well worth watching at least once. www.imdb.com/title/tt0041455/
Here is the Helter Skelter ride:
From Wiki:
A helter skelter is a funfair or amusement park ride with a slide built in a spiral around a high tower. Users climb up inside the tower and slide down the outside; usually on a mat. Typically the ride will be of wooden construction, and in the case of fairground versions designed to be disassembled to facilitate transportation between sites. The term is primarily (but not exclusively) found in British English. The ride inspired the Beatle song of the same name. [rather presumptuous statement, eh?]
Could this be a "pet name" for 124 Victoria Street? Helter Skelter?

I searched for the movie, and found a 9 minute clip on YouTube. The first thing you see is a sign on a door. The camera zooms in and this is what the sign says: Dr. James Edwards Psychiatrist Split Personalities Mended Seventh Veils RemovedFrying Friday Lots of running up and down a spiral staircase. I wonder if they had a spiral staircase at the Victoria St. house? There is a short section where the bad guy is being filmed backward.

So, the Helter Skelter implies a spiral staircase, and I found this relating to ancient Egyptian Initiations: It was at this point that the fortunate initiate, if the oil in his small lamp had held out, would notice a staircase carved into a crevice to his right. Stepping into the crevice and ascending the spiral staircase, he would find himself entering a great hall and being congratulated by a magician called a pastophor, a guardian of sacred symbols, for having passed the first test. www.unexplainedstuff.com/Religious-Phenomena/Egyptian-Mystery-Schools-Isis.html There are also stories of spiral stairs that go down into the hollow earth: Another area to be investigated is the Superstition Mountains in Arizona. Geronimo would be seen walking into the face of the Mountain, disappearing and then reappearing in New Mexico. The soldiers which were hell bent on capturing the illusive Apache Chief were mystified as to how he was able to escape the human net surrounding him and his band. The tunnel systems of the Superstitions are dangerous though and are rumored to be inhabited by Reptilian-type Creatures and supernatural forces. Those that claim to have penetrated the tunnel tell of the remains of ancient structures and a spiral staircase that leads forever down into the bowels of earth. The main entrance to the Superstition tunnel system links to numerous tunnel passageways which spider web out as far as Central America. www.livinginthelightms.com/in_search_of_shambhala2.htmlAnd also included in the Holy Grail mythologies: Retiring into the heart of the castle Gawan comes upon a strange scene: “At one side of the Palace a spiral staircase, vaulted and moderately broad, ascended through the whole height of the Palace and beyond. It carried a splendid Pillar not made of rotten wood but strong and burnished [...]” (297). Moreover, the spiral stair case ascends into a dome of stain-glass and jeweled light, as if it were a paradisaical realm, an easy connection as the pillar is stated to ascend “the whole height of the Palace and beyond.” This pillar is no ordinary pillar. Thus it is not surprising that its surface is filled with moving images showing lands and people in the surrounding world (297). The imagery is clear: Gawan has entered the axis-mundi of another land altogether. This realm is represented by the glorious pillar surrounded by a spiraling path, which in turn are representations of the pole-axis of a celestial order. John O’Neill shows in his work The Night of the Gods, that the ancient pillars and poles used in sacred architecture were models of entering into such celestial realms, and thus these sacred pillars in turn were equated with the gates of heaven.Of course pulai, gates, mountain-passes, straits; pulis, small door; pulos, same as pulê; and pulôn, hall, porch, gate, door, are all closely related words; and it may be added that the name Πυλαια for the AmphiKtionic council of the Πυλαι of ThermoPulai must have taken their name religiously from the Gate [...]. This opens up a long vista of other gods of the gates [...]. this is why Athene was called πυλότις and Demeter πυλαια and πυλαϕόρα. Sunset Strip
"I like staying with my uncle Dave And I like playing with his GREAT DANE"And thanks for the info on Helter Skelter, puzzled. The HELTER SKELTER = SPIRAL STAIRCASE connection is MOST INTERESTING, as none other than CHARLES MANSON lived at at place called the Spiral Staircase in 1967, but again, I'm certain that's just an unlucky coincidence... Excerpt from THE FAMILY, by Ed Sanders: Much more here: books.google.com/books?id=20n2VPmoiQoC&pg=PA22&lpg=PA22&dq=charles+manson+spiral+staircase&source=web&ots=afDPiC6N4h&sig=iTtFHo8Z3l5GJCqSKVVaEitMX5Y&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=10&ct=result#PPP1,M1 It's probably insane to think that there's any kind of a connection between the guy who wrote the song Helter Skelter in 1968, and the guy who lived in a place named after a Helter Skelter in 1967, and then went on to "orchestrate" murders in 1969 that he attributed to a message he received from the song that was written in 1968, about the place where he lived in 1967. Probably no connection at all.

I must agree, this guy sounds more like Paul's music than Faul does. And not DON KNOTTS!! He holds that sign for a good length of time, didn't just flash it. Yes, in the main, though I hear some Sir Paul influence as well, especially the prettiness in the softer vocals, the higher, sweeter tones. I mean, just observing that Bill does achieve a really nice, liquid sound up top. Paul's higher tones, specially early, 63, 64, are rock and roll rough, raw, edgier. Not that Bill doesn't have edge when he needs it. I like Mr. Rhodes talent and music a lot and am so glad that I have been introduced to it here.

So, Emitt Rhodes is from Hawthorne, CA, and I think we've established that he has *something* to do with our little project. In a moment of totally ridiculous synchronicity, I woke up this morning at around 8:00 AM, and instead of sitting at my computer (like I ALWAYS do), I decided to crash on the sofa in front of the TV. I flipped around until I found Pulp Fiction on AMC, and it was at the Bruce Willis, boxing/gimp sequence. I soon got frustrated with the TV edits and commercials though, so I put in the DVD and watched it from start to finish for the first time in ages. I think by now, a lot of people are familiar with the Pulp Fiction briefcase, and the debate about what's in it. Some people think it's the diamonds from the heist in Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, some think it's the Holy Grail, while others think that it's Marsellus Wallace's soul. I'm going to go one step further here, and propose that the case holds the mechanism behind the Paul/Bill shenanigans. So maybe the case contains the soul of Aleister Crowley, or the pure light energy of Lucifer. On thing is for certain, though; when the case is opened at the end of the movie, the contents GLOWS. And speaking of the case, the combination to open it is none other than 666, which is the number of the Beast. What did Crowley call himself? The Beast. So, moving right along...this morning I almost had an aneurysm when I saw the establishing shot for the final scene of the movie, which takes place in a diner. It's during this scene, that we finally see the case opened to reveal the glow. And as you can see above, of all the diners in the world, this scene takes place at the HAWTHORNE Grill, which, as "fate" would have it, is where Emitt Rhodes is from. www.hawthornegrill.com/In addition, the dialogue in this final scene between Samuel L. Jackson's character (called JULES, naturally) and Tim Roth's character (called RINGO) contains some more clues for us, as Ringo is trying to steal the case from Jules. In the end though, Jules disarms Ringo and says this: "You read the Bible? There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you." "I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a coldblooded thing to say to a motherfucker 'fore you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice. Now I'm thinkin', it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. .45 here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness.
Or it could by you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that shit ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin'. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd".
So, in summary. We have Jules (Jude?) trying to be a (William?) Shepherd, while carrying a case that may or may not contain Aleister Crowley's soul, or the pure light energy of Lucifer. Or, hell, it just might be Mal's infamous case containing the manuscript to his unpublished book. We have another character named Ringo who's trying to steal it, and all of this is happening in a diner that, coincidentally(??), is in the town where Emitt Rhodes recorded his VERY Paul McCartneyesque music in his home studio, playing all the instruments himself. This may all be nothing more than happenstance, but that's a bit too much for me to swallow The Diner Scene:

I've read about ten articles so far, and none of them discuss where the light is pointing in the sky. However, I came across this article which was different than the others. In the other articles it says that the light is only turned on the week of John Lennon's birthday until the anniversary of his death, and at New Years. Apparently there are other dates no one wants to mention: Now that the media spotlight has moved on, the light continues to shine. And love it or loathe it, nobody in Reykjavík (as well as coastal towns for a hundred kilometers) can avoid it. But for such a controversial project, opinion still seems to be generally positive. The light will shine every year from Lennon’s birthday (October 9) until the anniversary of his assassination (December 8), as well as on New Year’s Eve, the first week of spring and other carefully selected dates. Not many hippie mantras get immortalized in stone and light, but “Peace & Love” now has a permanent home on this earth. It’s probably the best mantra of them all though, and now one tiny step closer to becoming a reality. Shine On. www.icelandreview.com/icelandreview/search/news/Default.asp?ew_0_a_id=302639 The Hawthorne Grill website says the restaurant used to be known as "Holly's."

This probably isn't related, but wth. I searched for Hawthorne, and found this super 8 video of a tornado that occurred in Hawthorne California in....November of 1966...?? Kinda strange, as Hawthorne isn't exactly in tornado alley. The timing is strange. The video, showing the devastation of the tornado, has a Beach Boys soundtrack. Just more weirdness I guess. - Synchronicities abound today!! I found the Blog for the guy who made the above video, that I said I found strange. Look at what I found on his site: I got my start in the Entertainment Biz working as a Music Consultant on Quentin Tarantino's PULP FICTION... He is in the process of writing a book about the Beach Boys. Wow, what a small world it is..... chuckkelley.blogspot.com/2008/04/tornado-wreckage-hawthorne-california.html

By searching around Hawthorne, I found another band that formed in 1966 named REDD KROSS. They were prolific, and this lyric doesn't necessarily pertain to PID, but check out this one song:
Kiss the Goat
Oh, fifty cents For a dead man's eye, yeah Everything in sight Anything that money can buy - oh yeah I took on a chance On a dance with the ocean - move so slow Invisible phantom motion (Phantom me-motion-invisible Phantom motion)
On and on dictates the groove I found that I - I found I had no shoes
One foot in front One foot behind me The evil eye It made me walk the line - oh no A girl was there She had a pompous glare I held her hand Had to be her man (Had to be her - Had to be her - Man - man - yeah)
On and on dictates the groove I found that I - I found I had no shoes
I want to go home again I want to go home again I want to go home again I want to go home
No turning back You've made you choices It's time for you It's time for you to kiss the goat
I want to go home again I want to go home again I want to go home again I
I want to go home again I want to go home again I want to go home again I want to go home

sorry to veer a little, but does anyone remember where yoko's peace tower points to, again? Some backwoods star in Ursa Major, I believe. Puzzled wrote: " fifty centsFor a dead man's eye, yeah...." (there's that eye thing again)Now maybe it's just me, but that jumped out at me, because there's a rapper named "50 cent", and although I would ordinarily dismiss the notion that there is a connection to this song, I really have learned not to ignore such synchronicities in this game. I read once that Faul said "Blackbird" was about the plight of black people in America, and his respect for the civil rights movement of the sixties. I'm beginning to think he may have tried to use his influence to promote black artists.
