all i gotta say is.... HELL YEAHHHHH for OREGON!!! ;D and McMenamins, i love it, all of them. funny thing about it, i've always been so fascinated by the history of McMens and all the art work, buildings, artifacts & memorabilia, etc. kind of creeps me out, in a good way. i've made it a life goal to visit all of the restaurants and hotels, especially the UFO fest and as many shows at the crystal ball room and edgefield i can cram into my schedule. this sgt peppers spin on it really intrigues me. thanks for bringing it up j. i love locals.

Rephrase "stupid", mumrikusstarr: that's rude (and you're not Jude.) Your filling the forum with stupid threads about your stupid idea. ONE stupid thread about your stupid idea is enough. ewww. stop being a jerk. I ENJOY the Gypsy bidness.... and i believe it. ;D

Geoff Emerick was on the Mark and Brian radio show this morning talking about the Beatles and his new book "Here, There and Everywhere: my life recording the music of the Beatles". i was wondering if anyone else heard this? thoughts? i was able to listen to a bit of it while driving this morning and i was curious if he let anything slip or contradicted himself or someone else.... ;D as, of course, he'd be one to know the truth of Faul

I listened to Here, There, and Everywhere as a kid, and because the album said the lead singer was Paul, I accepted it. I listened to it on a cd with earphones a couple of months ago, and the lead singer is John. His voice is extremely emotional, and the background singing (I can recognize George) is almost sorrowful. I always felt there was something strange about that song, and it could very well be a farewell to Paul. I was going to set this up as a poll. Other opinions? hell yeah it's john. i always knew it was. i never checked to see who sang it, i never thought otherwise....

for REAL... he sounds so much like Faul. a bit creepy, especially considering he's been dead for 34 years. also, the slowed down version of the Unknown sounds the most like the final, i would agree. interesting the things you're able to uncover now a days.

The Beatles said we need to see beyond all this to a new reality and then work to create that reality. Love grows and spreads from one person to another: "Sunday's on the phone to Monday, Tuesday's on the phone to me". Did it ever occur to people that a peaceful, loving and sharing world might prove incredibly prosperous? Take all the trillions spent on war, prisons, fighting crime and trying to protect us from each other and use it to feed, nurture and care for each other. We need a change of direction, to redefine ourselves. At least give it a try or may may perish. yes sir i do agree with this. i suppose this is one of the few things i'm pessimist about. i think using our resources to better the whole is what needs to be happening. as i have said though, there is far too much greed in this world for it to ever happen. great ideas about peace, carman. it's refreshing to hear someone speak their mind and not have it be full of criticism and hate.

yes, living life by the golden rule. which, to me means be a good person. do what makes you happy, not harming people in the process. i'm very down with peace, as the name implies. but i don't think trying to convince people who don't feel the same as i do is a good way to go about achieving this*. let it be. i believe in karma and i feel that people will get what's coming to them, good or bad. i think an awareness of that is what's needed, and yes, an awareness of peace. bring it to the masses by bringing people together. "TEACH YOUR CHILDREN WELL"!!! hate breeds hate, thus peace breeds peace. world peace is such a fabulous idea but it's not possible. there are too many people who are greedy and power hungry in this world. i do not foresee it happening in my life time. though i do my best every day not to judge people (though it's human nature to do so) or talk badly about others or to find satisfaction in material things/other people. this brings me peace. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. sometimes you just have to look to find what that means to you. *i hate when religious people (or conservatives. they kind of go hand in hand) push their beliefs upon me, telling me i'm going to hell because i don't think or live my life the way they do. i would never contradict myself by saying people are wrong because they're not peaceful or striving for peace or even because they do things i don't agree with. i just assume they suck and keep them out of my life while knowing that everyone gets what is coming to them. it's pretty simple. Pretty remarkable. In one breath, you say that people who don't think as you do will "get what's coming to them". In the next breath, you say that you resent "religious people or conservatives" who preach hellfire and brimstone. But I wonder what you mean when you say that those whom you regard as infidels will "get what's coming to them". You used that phrase TWICE."Get what's coming to them" sounds like your version of hellfire and brimstone. Liberals, shit! eww. what i meant by "get what's coming to them" is karmic law. "The good and righteous actions yield pleasant and happy fruits or awards and the wicked and evil ones are dispensed with painful and unhappy fruits or results here in this world or hereafter." or more simply put: what you give you shall receive. also, i never said that people who don't think as i do will get what's coming to them, i said "i feel that people will get what's coming to them, good or bad." & "i just assume they suck and keep them out of my life while knowing that everyone gets what is coming to them." MEANING EVERY PERSON, religious or atheist, liberal or conservative, PIDer or PIAer, ETC. twist it around old man... conservatives, shit!

Do you know of a better purpose for living than striving for universal peace and love? yes, living life by the golden rule. which, to me means be a good person. do what makes you happy, not harming people in the process. i'm very down with peace, as the name implies. but i don't think trying to convince people who don't feel the same as i do is a good way to go about achieving this*. let it be. i believe in karma and i feel that people will get what's coming to them, good or bad. i think an awareness of that is what's needed, and yes, an awareness of peace. bring it to the masses by bringing people together. I noticed something at the end of that movie. When Lucy Looks at the Strawberry sign thing the door in the background is the only door with a number on it. The number 9. interesting.... never noticed, but now i'm going to have to go and look for it. Have to ask, for those that have seen it, FIND ANY CLUES? (besides the 9 on the door, if that would be considered one) i noticed during the scene where they're at max and lucy's parents house for thanksgiving, mom makes a comment about the cranberry sauce. i love this movie.

To understand and connect to the Beatles music you need to get past the surface. my point exactly.... YOUR book doesn't reach far beneath the surface, IMO. as i said, it's elementary. anyone who listens to the Beatles can tell you what their songs are about/represent, even in a vague way, such as you have. ALSO my point, it's (their music/message/etc) so so so SO much more than you or myself or anyone knows the extent of. *THUS THE PURPOSE OF THIS BOARD.*to discuss, to see things from another perspective, gain new ideas and theories. whatever it will be, it will be.... you, carman, were wrong to even come and spew your "i'm right and you're wrong, buy my book and see the truth" message. bah... it's all really quite comical though.

haha...
hi.
just a couple things:
first off, carman, your book reads like a high school english project. i feel that your philosophy(ies) of the beatles is juvenile, as though you're just scraping the surface... there's really TOO much going on. no one knows the whole lot of it, except maybe those involved, even then, maybe they don't.
that's what's so facinating about the whole PID/PWR bidness.... it's complex. it's history. it's the unknown. and i love it.
second, carman, your webpage doesn't work, as of right now anyway. i'd love to check it out, fix it if you could. thanks.
and finally, i'm glad to be here!! i've been lurking for a while, reading, catching up on the latest, figuring things out for myself. i'm very intrigued by the knowledge and theories. what beautiful minds you all have....
