The lady walrus was Paul. ;D "When I find myself in times of trouble Lady Walrus comes to me." (That's not it? Are you sure? ) "I told you 'bout the Walrus and me How we're about as close as can be." And who did John "they're-gonna-crucify-me" Lennon fancy he was? The carpenter! But that's not quite where I was going to go with this. Yet. In reply #10, Apollo C Vermouth wrote: "The problem was quite simply, the music contained within the grooves bore a striking Beatle-esque quality. With little imagination and a good set of ears, the vocals of Lennon and McCartney, Harrison and Starr could be heard amongst the Sgt. Pepper-ish era tunes.
Was this the second coming?"Ah, that clever Apollo. Keep playing those word games...forever. If you blinked you may have missed it. Funny, isn't it? You mention Jesus of Nazareth, and next thing you know, someone starts talking about the Second Coming. Or 3:47 PM. But in a sense, the second coming had already been brought up in this thread. Reply #61, Ilras wrote: "Just one note: the Earth is really slowing down" I can't read that statement without thinking about the Zetatalk.com site where it is said that "Planet X", a rogue planet (a burned-out dwarf star actually - cough, cough) is approaching the Earth. There's even a picture of it coming, here: zetatalk.com/index/z03.htm(Scroll down to post number 1655. It's the dark blue orb at about 10 o'clock.) And as it approaches, it will cause the Earth to wobble around like a drunk (see post #1649), and as it gets near, will cause the Earth's rotation to slow down to a stop temporarily *, according to the Zetas. From the Earth, it might look a bit like this: tralfaz-archives.com/coverart/K/klaatu_hope.htmlStrange, isn't it? Strange that the Klaatu album showing Planet X, or possibly Mars pushed out of orbit, wiping out, via tidal waves etc., a Mayan/MachuPiccu type civilization would be called HOPE! Well, maybe it means "HOPE of Deliverance". Calling Occupants... * "Also, at the end of one particular McCartney concert, he said to the crowd, "See you when the Earth stands still.." before he departed the stage." Reply #14

4KH said: The sun is wearing this mask or one like it?I meant to say that exact thing last night, another benefit of "holding it arm's length", you can perceive that. They did indeed "mask" themselves, until the names of the performers were revealed later, complete with live performances. And indeed, as Doc said, just because they were "on the record" (in two senses) it doesn't rule out the involvement of others. Btw, please have a look at the "Sun Set" cd booklet, esp. pp. 4-5 where it talks about the conditions for signing the group: www.jojoplace.org/Shoebox/Klaatu_CD_Booklet/CD_Booklet.htm4KH: - Playing 'Sub Rosa Subway' backwards, using a low speed frequency ocillator and filters revealed the message 'Its us, its the Beeeeetles!' "
Perhaps the image under the sun was going to be used for the "Sun" album?
Has anyone done the, "It's us the Beatles" clip in computer land?I tried once.. of course I'd have shared it had I been successful.. Back to the drawing board? Perhaps I will.

I'll just say what I think the voice is saying: "It's Paul and I".. But the I waver toward "It's alright". Dunno. The crickets again, or rather the frogs: (backwards) www.jojoplace.org/Shoebox/Klaatu_Occupants_Frogs.mp3Someone told me..it says "We quit". (and that it fit rather nicely into the mystery)

Interesting, the images in the cartoon seem to imitate artists like Escher, Magritte, and Dali. The other image would seem to remind of the Beatles at Tittenhurst (standing if front of the doorway). As well as, perhaps, the scene in help at the airport where the Beatles wore disguises of beards and mustaches and old suits.

Well the cartoon obviously takes place in London... A ROUTINE DAY (Klaatu) It started off a routine day I got through the morning In the usual way I caught the bus on time Good morning Mister Driver, drive As I sat inside my overcoat I clutched my cane And pressed my nose Against the foggy window pane Ho hum... The life I lead would even make A dead man yawn Midday comes, I break for lunch With my sandwich and a beer I go on a hunch to the park Where I hope to find A little bit of peace of mind ("I'd give you everything I've got for...")As I sat there on a bench Amidst the rodent race I felt a strange sensation That without a trace appeared But then as quickly disappeared again So tell me what's the bloody point Of playing the game With so much to lose Yet so little to gain You sell your life away Why can't you see you're just a cog Working like a dog You trade your future For a dead-end job Just full of routine days Routine days ("It's Just Another Day")I race the clock to the end of the day The paycheque in my pocket Makes me feel okay But was it worth the grind Just to keep from falling behind I stand here in the queue Behind a foul cigar My face discreetly buried In a book on Mars Hum drum... And I'm waiting on the pier till Charon comes There certainly seem to be a number of oblique Beatle references in the cartoon. For example, at the end they sail into the sun.(in our yellow submarine)The man has a skull in his eye. (Turn me one, dead man.)Also: A book on Mars (Mars is sometimes used to represent the abode of a dead person.)What's the bloody point of playing the game? (You can learn how to...)etc.Charon is the boatsman who ferries the dead to the afterlife:[/i] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charon_(mythology)Note the wording in that article:[/i] "Those who couldn't (afford to pay for the ride) had to wander the banks of the Acheron (River) for one hundred years.""But now she sucks her thumb and wonders By the banks of her own lagoon" a reference to that mythology! She's dead! Also: In the wikipedia article: "Orpheus also made the trip to the underworld and returned alive." so "Sir Bodsworth Rugglesby" who went to "hell and c ame back alive" corresponds to Orpheus, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orpheus"Orpheus....was the chief representative of the arts of song and the lyre....Calliope and Apollo were his parents.Rather than reading my excerpts here, read the actual wiki page. It's all there: "no one else is in my tree", a beheading of sorts, bisexuality... You'll have a sense of deja vu.

Hmm, I've discovered KLAATU when reading about PWR/PID and became a fan of the band. I've listened to all their 'regular' albums by now and think that only 3:47EST and Hope sound like if they were made by the Beatles (especially 3:47EST) while all albums from 'Sir Army Suit" on remind me very much of Queen.

The man on the far left looks like Beat Poet Alan Ginsburg who told me once that he was hanging around with Pink Floyd and many others of the London Underground during 66-67. I didn't ask him about the Beatles but I would imagine he knew them. Interesting.

I couldn't agree more, especially the song "Sell Out"; a demo is on the "Sun Set" compilation. That song would be quite at home on Queen's Hot Space album. (1982)

I don't like, or believe the whole MI5/counter culture type thing with the Beatles. However if Klaatu were a tool of all that then maybe Queen took over as part it, if you know what I mean!!!?

And some Allman Brothers?
