Thanks for the link, great thread. As I was reading and looking at the photos something occurred to me, I wondered what is written on the doll's right arm. I can make out a "W" but that is about it. Shirley looks like she has a little black doll in her hand but maybe it was just part of the black background that wasn't cut out. It really makes me want to examine the other albums again or if there is anything we all missed or that is out of place. It looks like a sweatshirt that reads "WMCA GOOD GUYS WELCOME THE ROLLING STONES" WMCA was a major AM radio station in NY, and their Disc Jockeys were called the 'GOOD GUYS'

www.amazon.com/Lennon-Prophecy-Examination-Death-Beatles/dp/0942257456/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1227581331&sr=1-1 Product Description Offering a new interpretation of the hidden messages and symbols that have ornamented Beatles mythology for years, this examination of the Beatles' recordings and album artwork theorizes that John Lennon's murder was eerily foretold. Following a fascinating and unique trail of sorcery, mysticism, numerology, backwards masking, anagrams, and literary and theological writings, the book posits that John Lennon sold his soul in order to achieve international fame and fortune and subsequently paid the ultimate price for his success. About the Author Joseph Niezgoda is a life-long Beatles fan, collector, and scholar, who has researched John Lennon and the band for more than 25 years. He works in analog and digital music recording with an extensive background in music theory.

My opinion is voice comparisons, unless they are within 3 to 6 months apart, are of little value. Peoples voices change as they age and/or travel, and with accents sometimes dramatically. I have a good friend born and raised in the states that went off to Scotland for a little overa year and came back speaking as if he was Scottish. His accent was acquired basically via osmosis, he never intended to develop one but being in that culture caused him to change his vocal characteristics.
Dr Truby could reportedly match an infant's cry with the adult voice. It would be interesting to compare the voices on the early records with the later recordings. We need all the evidence to reach a conclusion.

"do you think that maybe the beatles were an invention..?" I've often wondered this. Not unlike the reality programs where they have singers/band manufactured. There are a lot of bands that were actually. Maybe the answer is that the band was manufactured from the beginning, for numerous reasons (money etc), and something happened so they replaced paul? Entirely within reason Of course much of "Beatlemania" was manufactured hype, but the band's songwriting and talent was genuine. You can hear on even the first albums John or Paul's "touch" on the songs. To me as valid as fingerprint or signautre proof of the composer. And the guys could always harmonize like no one else.

Paul and Faul seem to have very different personalities, unless too many drugs turned Paul into this asshat.

I think he looks like Faul, and does a good job getting some of his mannerisms down.

I blame her for turning Lennon on to heroin to gain control of his life. John's heroin addiction in my opinion was a big factor in the Beatles demise.

[ Oh and btw, I never meant to steal your screen name, I had already made a bunch of posts at the other board before I realized there was another variation of my name there. (I'm assuming you are the same one) Just thought I'd finally mention that.. [/quote] Yes I came over from the other side. You are a true lady, and always welcome.

That is an unhealed scar over the left eye! Where could it have come from except surgery? Any proposed alternatives from the skeptics? Good find JoJo.

Interesting ....I think Brian Jones was the true talent behind the Stones and not Sir Mick or Keith Richards. But history makes it look like Jones was just a rythm guitarist.....who could be replaced by a child, Mick Taylor was not much more than a teen. And whatever happened to him? For many people, they only know Ron Wood as the other guitarist....it takes the older folks to remember Brian. Brian formed the Stones, and was not happy with the direction the band was taking. He thought "Satanic Majesty's Request" was a cheap take off on Sgt Pepper. Why was his band putting out psychedelic garbage? A very talented musician and bright young man with an exceptionally high IQ , no doubt Brian was done in by the politics of the time, not by an accident.

I remember the story of a scientist doing a comparison of the voices on early Beatle records, and later recordings. He found that John, George, and Ringo's vocies matched, while there were several different "Pauls". This scientist allegedly could identify people by comparing their adult voice with recordings of them as infants. The "voiceprints" were as reliable as fingerprints. Can this experiment be duplicated today, and at what cost I wonder?

this is a reference to denis O'Dell of Apple Corps.
Denis O'Dell, one of the four original non-Beatle directors of Apple Corps, head of Apple Films and a close friend of the Beatles from the early days of Beatlemania through to the group’s demise and beyond.
DENIS O’DELL was already an established film producer when he first became involved with the Beatles in 1964. He was central to the production of such Beatles-related films as A Hard Day’s Night, How I Won the War, Magical Mystery Tour, Let It Be and The Magic Christian.

Maybe it refers to George Martin, who I believe did not produce some of the later recordings, though he did work with them on the last album, Abbey Road.

Longtime Beatle friend from their high school days, and the man who manged Apple business for many years has passed on from lung cancer.
